Located on Avenue Montaigne, one of Paris’ pre-eminent retail addresses, this 6,000 sq ft exterior restoration and interior renovation project inaugurated the new worldwide retail concept for the men's and women's ready-to-wear collections of Gianfranco Ferre. The space was conceived as a series of processional rooms, rendered as alternating color fields of cadmium red and ivory, bordered by dark wood proscenium frames which mirror and focus the product groups on display. A flexible merchandising system of cantilevered backlit shelves and glass Brancusi-inspired hanging bars create a calligraphic composition of subtle linear forms.
