Gabellini Sheppard Associates’ proposal for the renovation of an existing six­story office building with a three­level retail center on Hirschstrasse in Stuttgart includes a new facade of Jet Mist granite, titanium mesh panels and a dichroic etched glass curtain wall. The building envelope allows for the visual transformation of the facade from varying states of opacity and transparency by changing the intensities of light both externally and internally.
