The 4,300-square-foot, two-level 1436 Flagship Store located in the Kerry Center in Beijing, China, reflects the brand’s elevated vision and captivates the new public image of 1436. The spatial concept has been conceived as an intricate portrait of the world of 1436, combining the intrinsic values of the brand concept of modernity, warmth and relaxed elegance. The space manifests itself as a harmonious frame to focus and highlight the character of the company and the personality of the collection.
Embodying the revealing nature of the spirit of the brand, vertical panels of changing LED lights layered behind the exterior double height glass facade visually lure the eye from the busy urban surroundings to the signature flagship. The 1436 Flagship store serves as a stage and a window for the brand. It captures the essence of the finest cashmere and innovative design processes and leaves a unique impression engraved on the bespoke shopping experience.
This project was awarded the 2016 Interior Design Magazine Best of Year Award in Product Design: Nebulosa, the 2017 IIDA Global Excellence Award, and the 2018 IIDA Design Competition Award.
