Since joining Gabellini Sheppard in 2022, Nagham Hamid has brought a refined, experience-driven approach to the studio’s hospitality and residential interiors. With over a decade of international experience, she specializes in space planning, FF&E, and material specification—shaping environments that are both elegant and uniquely tailored to their users.
Nagham has played a central role in several of the studio’s seminal projects, including the public amenity spaces for a five-star hotel housed within a landmarked building in Dallas, Texas, and the FF&E and material development for a high-profile hospitality destination in East Asia. Currently, she is leading the interior design of luxury private villas in Abu Dhabi and Egypt—projects that demand both a deep cultural sensitivity and a highly customized design approach.
“What really energizes me is seeing how a concept evolves from mood boards to a physical, lived-in space,” she reflects. “It reminds me why I love interior design; it’s about shaping how people experience and feel in their space.”
She values the multicultural, collaborative environment at Gabellini Sheppard, where every voice is heard. “There’s a genuine culture of inclusion and mentorship,” Nagham notes. “What I appreciate most is the balance between creative freedom and thoughtful guidance—I’ve learned how to be more intentional in my choices, whether it’s selecting materials, creating spatial flow, or telling a story through design.”
Prior to joining the studio, Nagham worked on a number of high-end hospitality and residential developments across Dubai. She holds a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture in Beirut.
