Courtney Adams, Interior Designer, Associate
Courtney Adams leads the sourcing of all materials, furnishings, and fixtures for some of the firm’s largest hospitality projects including the Knickerbocker Hotel, Rainbow Room, and the Four Seasons Resort in Anguilla. Since joining the firm in 2012, she has also worked on a number of recently completed luxury condominium projects such as 50 UN Plaza, 49 Chambers Condominiums, Manhattan View at MiMA, as well as the NBC Universal lobby and retail spaces.

Prior to joining the firm, Adams, originally from London, started her career in the UK working for Blacksheep, a firm specializing in hospitality design, as well as Godrich Design Collective and i-am Associates. Adams earned her Bachelor’s in Interior Design with honors from Kingston University, London and received her Art and Design Diploma in Foundation Studies from the Wimbledon School of Art.

Tomoko Hirose, ASID, Interior Designer, Associate
Tomoko Hirose oversees the sourcing of all materials, furnishings, and fixtures for high-end residential, luxury retail, and hospitality projects. Her experience with the firm since 2008 includes a wide range of developments including The Istanbul Edition hotel in Turkey, The Knickerbocker Hotel in New York City, and recently, the AC / Autograph Hotels Bordeaux development in California’s Silicon Valley. 

Prior to joining Gabellini Sheppard, Hirose developed a wide range of hospitality projects for Gensler such as the Hyatt in Arlington, Virginia and FF&E for Sheraton hotels in Kansas City and New York’s Times Square. Tomoko received her professional designation in interior design from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a degree in English Literature from Notre Dame Seishin University in Hiroshima, Japan. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers.

Steve Soleo, AIA, LEED AP, Associate
Steve Soleo is an accomplished Architect whose collaborative approach to design and construction enables him to build strong working relationships.  He has extensive experience leading teams on meticulously detailed projects at multiple scales, and has worked on ground-up construction and major renovations, while ushering projects through the NYC DOB and Landmarks Preservation Commission.   Since joining  the firm in 2019, Soleo has worked with Tishman Speyer on a Master Plan re-envisioning of Rockefeller Center.
 
Prior to joining Gabellini Sheppard Associates, Soleo held significant responsibilities as a Project Manager with Abelow Sherman Architects and Beyer Blinder Belle Architects & Planners.  He is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning, where he won their Senior Design Award. Soleo is a registered Architect in New York State and a LEED Accredited Profession with the USGBC.
Chardonnay Pickard-Fares, Business Development & Marketing Director
A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Chardonnay Pickard- Fares followed her interest into the business and strategy side of the design industry. Following her start in New York in 2007, she’s worked as a consultant and in-house with a variety of the industry’s leading architects and interior designers, advising on licensing partnerships, media management and business development. 

She’s also worked closely with institutions like 92Y to produce innovative events and programming. Cultivating relationships and collaborations from introduction to final product is what motivates her as both a professional and as a creative at heart. 
Stephanie Musselwhite, Director of Business / Controller
Business Director & Controller, Stephanie Musselwhite, brings financial stewardship, project management and leadership skills gained through her 10+ years’ experience working within the architecture and design industry and 7+ years in the banking industry. Stephanie is passionate that good design equates with good business. She is flexible and adaptable to the dynamic requirements of the design process and changing objectives of a project or a client. 
 
Prior to joining Gabellini Sheppard, Stephanie began her architecture and design career with OPX Global, a boutique firm in Washington, DC where she was the Finance Manager. Stephanie then moved on to work for two of the largest architecture engineering consulting firms in the world, AECOM and Gensler. While working for these firms, Stephanie financially managed projects ranging in fees upwards of $30M. Her financial project management experience spans multiple practice areas including but not limited to: Hospitality, Residential, Mixed-Used Developments, Corporate Offices/Campus, Mission Critical, Federal/State Government, Aviation/Transportation and Branding. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Mississippi (OleMiss) in Oxford, MS.
